NEW! Tee Ball Joins Longmeadow Softball
Our district has expanded this season to offer Tee Ball for players ages 5-6, so if you or someone you know might be interested in playing or coaching, please let them know!
Longmeadow Softball's 2026 Spring Season is open to players ages 5-14. Registration closes March 1, 2026. We can't guarantee anyone who signs up late will be placed on a team, but we will do our best to accommodate everyone. Late fees will also be incurred. LSA reserves the right to close registration early to ensure optimal roster sizes.
The season begins mid to late-April and with the Regular Season ending the beginning of June. The end of the season wraps up with a tournament-style playoff for 10U-14U teams with the other towns in the Massachusetts District 2 Division. Following playoffs we move into the Little League Softball Tournament (or All-Stars). The District Tournament begins the middle of June and can run through early July, depending on the team's progression. All players are eligible to be selected to the All-Star Team.
Age rules remain unchanged; please register players based on age as of Jan 1, 2026. If a player was 10 years old on Jan 1, 2026 and turns 11 on March 1, 2026: league age is 10 years old and the player should register in 10U division. Please refer to the official age chart below.
We will hold evaluations in March, dates and times to be announced soon.
Coaches and Volunteers
Our programs are only as good as our coaches! That's why we are currently recruiting our coaching staff for 2025 and have several opportunities for Head Coaches as well as Assistant Coaches at all levels. If you are interested, please reach out to us ASAP! We'd love to include you in any winter training and clinics we organize and it would be great for your players to get to know you before the Spring.
Little League Umpires
Qualified umpires are in high demand throughout the district so anyone interested in learning how to become an official Little League Softball Umpire or high school students interested in becoming a Junior Umpire should contact us now! Little League will provide several opportunities to train, free of cost, and you'd be doing a great service to the community. You can even make a few bucks! Those who are interested should reach out to our Umpire-in-Chief Kim Gettens at [email protected].
